Working Principle

The AS1364-BTDT-30 integrated chip consists of several components, including an internal reference voltage, an error amplifier, a voltage detection circuit, a Current Limit circuit, a Comparator, an Enable Input, and a Power Output. The internal reference voltage is set to provide the voltage or current necessary for the output. The Error Amplifier compares the internal reference voltage and the feedback voltage detected by Voltage Detection Circuit, and adjusts the output per the requirements of the load. The Current Limit circuit is set to limit the maximum current allowed through the output by limiting the Error Amplifier’s range of operation. The Comparator monitors the Non-Error Amplifier Output (NEAO) and compares it to the reference voltage, in order to determine if the output is within the specified range. If it is, the comparator will enable the power output, and the system will be able to receive power from the AS1364-BTDT-30. The Enable Input helps to control the status of the device—it turns the device on and off, depending on the voltage level of the input.
