AS3604-ZQFU

The AS3604-ZQFU is a specialized power management integrated circuit (PMIC) developed by ams, a semiconductor technology company. The device is designed to provide power management solutions in a variety of applications, from industrial to consumer. It is ideally suited for applications that require multiple power rails, such as digital TV, wireless systems and servers.

The AS3604-ZQFU provides three operating supply domains, as well as three additional regulators for supporting a range of peripheral devices. The main operating supplies are under the control of a Quad Synchronous Rectified Buck Controller (QSRBC), which supports output voltages of 0.95V to 3.3V. The device also includes an adjustable pulse-width modulation (PWM) regulator, which can be used to generate an additional output voltage up to 6.0V. The three additional regulators comprise two regulated linear regulators and one low drop-out (LDO) regulator.

The QSRBC offers three main power efficient control modes, Pulse Frequency Modulation (PFM), Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) and Mixed-Mode control techniques. The well-established control techniques and current-mode control provide fast transient response and excellent load regulation. The PFM and PWM are user selectable for each supply. In addition to controlling the main voltages, the device offers additional features such as override and undervoltage lockouts, continuous short-circuit protection and power-on reset.

In addition to the power management features, the AS3604-ZQFU provides an integrated temperature sensor, as well as configurable watchdog timers and interrupts. The device is also designed for low power consumption, with a maximum operating current of 250µA. It is available in 44-pin QFN packages and is fully compliant with the I2C protocol.
