Working Principle
The ASM3P2863AF-06OR is basically a frequency synthesizer, so it can combine different frequencies to produce the desired resultant frequency. It works by using a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) and a digital phase-frequency detector (PFD) that is controlled by a Digital locked loop (DLL) and an Analog locked loop (ALL).

Finally, a divider circuit is used to divide the output signal from the ACF according to the desired output frequency.
