AT17F16A-30JU Application Field and Working Principle
AT17F16A-30JU is one of the configurable FPGA proms that uses Flash-based nonvolatile memory technology to store and configure FPGAs. Flash FPGA is a form of FPGA in which the configuration of the logic is stored in Flash memory. This type of FPGA can be configured in the field and is used in applications where the FPGA configuration may need to be changed, or where a tiny zero-power nonvolatile memory is desired.
AT17F16A-30JU is a Flash-based FPGA prom for use with FPGAs of 90-nm and higher process nodes. It is a configuration device for use with Virtex-5 and SpartanTM-6 Family FPGAs from Xilinx® and has the capability of programmable logic configuration and dynamic reconfiguration. It is designed to be predictably reliable, versatile, and to match the low-power requirements of today\'s FPGAs. These FPGAs offer superior performance and savings of resources for the user.
The AT17F16A-30JU\'s working principle is simple but powerful. It is set up to work in conjunction with the in-system programming (ISP) capability in the FPGA. This allows the FPGA to be programmed via the JTAG port.
