AT25128AU2-10UI-2.7 could store up to 251,520 bits (32 Kbits) of binary information in the form of 8-bit words. The memory array is organized as 256 pages of 128 words. It also offers hardware and software data protection, supporting hardware sector protection and hardware write protection. It has 2.7V to 3.6V working voltage, and can support up to 65MHz SPI bus frequencies.

AT25128AU2-10UI-2.7 Working Principle

AT25128AU2-10UI-2.7 employs a serial peripheral interface (SPI) and supports a standard SPI port with four distinct control signals. It is controlled by a command set, which is divided into different groups. These commands can be sent at a rate of up to 65MHz, but the maximum guaranteed write pulse limit is 20MHz. The instructions are transmitted one bit at a time and can be acknowledged instantly.

When the memory is enabled, the CS line is driven low, indicating that a command is coming. The first 8 bits determine the command after which the host is responsible for sending the required data or address depending on the command received. After the data is sent, the CS line is driven high to indicate that the memory is no longer enabled.
