The AT9919K7-GVAO is a high-efficiency LED driver for PMIC (Power Management Integrated Circuit) applications. It is based on the Atmel® AVR® core and is purpose-built for driving and managing up to two LEDs simultaneously, allowing for both power-saving and high-brightness operation.
This driver IC is ideal for a variety of lighting applications, including automotive lighting, lighting, and displays. It is engineered with several features to enable long product life and high reliability. The AT9919K7-GVAO is designed to reduce output current ripple and eliminate the need for a separate current sense resistor.
The AT9919K7-GVAO is a Fully - Regulated LED Driver, with the functions of Buck (constant voltage) and Boost (constant current). The highly efficient Buck-Boost converter automatically changes between Buck and Boost states. The output voltage and current is controlled by a simple external potentiometer, This device can operate in either buck or boost mode and supports up to two LEDs in series.
The high-efficiency circuit regulates output voltage and current to within tight tolerances. It also features over-voltage protection, under-voltage protection and output short-circuit protection. The adjustable control allows for both power-saving and high-brightness operation. The device is capable of driving up to four LEDs simultaneously.
The device is also equipped with an internal current-mode PWM controller for dimming control to simplify user interface. An integrated programmable over-temperature protection safeguards the system during high temperature environments. The low component count of the AT9919K7-GVAO makes it a cost effective LED driver.
