ATECC108A-SSHDA-B, a specialized cryptographic IC, is a secure element designed for dual authentication and cryptographic functionalities. It samples on a variety of platforms and implements an authentication model that makes use of a public key, a private key and a set of custom attributes. The server checks the MAC and verifies the authenticity of the client.In the process of encrypting data, the chip performs an AES encryption based on a secret key stored in the chip. This encrypted data can then be used for secure communication between the client and the server.
