    • Working Principle

      The ATR1841-P1QW accepts a complementary line-side signal including a clock and a reset line. These signals may be provided by a separate clock transceiver. The ATR1841-P1QW also includes line coding logic to enable twisted pair Ethernet communications. Line coding is provided to support both 10-BASE-T and 100-BASE-TX.

      The device processes the line-side signals and transmits packets according to the IEEE 802.3 standard. Each packet is comprised of a destination node address, a controller address, and a message body. The packets can be transmitted either at 10Mbps or at 100Mbps. The device detects network errors and prevents erroneous data from being transmitted.
