The ATS-05E-42-C1-R0 thermal-heat sink is a specialized device, designed to transfer heat away from a component or system, to a safer, cooler running environment. The heat sink\'s 4.5mm pin & fin heat plates make it work well for components requiring a lot of heat transfer away from critical components.

The heat sink\'s basic working principle is quite simple; it dissipates heat by increasing the total surface area in contact with a coolant. Making use of something called forced-convection, the ATS-05E-42-C1-R0 heat sink utilizes fins to increase the total surface area of the heat exchanger.
