One type of crystal is the ATS25ASM-1, which is an AT-cut, temperature-compensated, low-cost oscillator. It is used for frequency applications such as watch crystals and other timing devices.The ATS25ASM-1 is an AT-cut quartz crystal oscillator with a frequency range of 10 to 25 MHz, with a minimum frequency stability of +/-0.1 ppm over the operating temperature range of -20 to +70°C. The oscillator has a hermetically sealed can and is designed with a no-load temperature stability of 0.05 ppm. The oscillator uses a precision ceramic capacitor for temperature compensation, allowing excellent temperature stability and accuracy.A quartz crystal consists of a piece of quartz cut in such a way that it vibrates at a set frequency when a electrical current is applied to it. The ATS25ASM-1 uses the AT-Cut technique to make the quartz vibrate in a constant and prescribed manner.AT-Cut is a method of cutting quartz using laser or mechanical abrasion to produce a crystal plate with a precisely calibrated angle. This angle, known as the angle of the AT-Cut, allows the crystal to resonate at a specific frequency by reducing the balancing force of the quartz plate and changing its vibration mode. The angle of the AT-Cut is critical to the crystal\'s performance and its accuracy.The ATS25ASM-1 quartz crystal oscillator utilizes a sensitive surface-acoustic-wave (SAW) element made of quartz that resonates when current is applied to it. The quartz crystal is driven by a capacitive element that is used to create a circuit with a synchronous frequency. The SAW element vibrates at the same frequency as the circuit when a particular current is applied, generating a stable output signal.The ATS25ASM-1 oscillator is a low-power, temperature-compensated oscillator that is suitable for use in timing devices and frequency control products. Its frequency accuracy and stability, as well as its excellent temperature compensation, make it ideal for use in a variety of applications, including watches, RF and microwave products, and digital and telecommunications systems.
