The ATSAMB11G18A-MU-Y is a member of the RF Transceiver ICs family. It is designed to meet the most stringent adherence to IEEE 802.15.4 (2.4 GHz) standards. It is capable of communicating distance up to 20 kilometers in line of sight configuration and offers the tight spectral mask available in the industry. The ATSAMB11G18A-MU-Y is ideally used in applications where high speed data communication, low power operation, and advanced co-existence solutions are required.
The ATSAMB11G18A-MU-Y is a highly integrated device that integrates the IEEE 802.15.4 MAC and PHY layer into a single package. The device integrates on-chip radios, voltage regulators and a dedicated phase frequency shift keying (PFSK) modem. The modem supports both narrowband and wideband modes and can be configured for data rates up to 250 kilobits per second. It supports data packet structure conforming to IEEE 802.15.4 standards, making it suitable for a wide range of applications including industrial wireless mesh, home automation, sensor networks, medical monitoring, smart grid and building automation.
The ATSAMB11G18A-MU-Y is equipped with an on-chip Real Time Clock (RTC) and a Wake-Up Timer (WT) for power management and low power operation. It is also equipped with multiple oscillators that allow for synchronization of multiple transceivers. It is designed with several different Wake-on Radio modes, allowing the device to be triggered by incoming radio packets. The device also incorporates 6 general-purpose input/output (GPIO) pins that can be used for control and status monitoring.
The ATSAMB11G18A-MU-Y transmits and receives RF signals in either 2.4 GHz ISM or license-free channels.
