It is a rectangular edge-type connector array with mezzanine board-to-board connections. Working Principle

The AXE612124 works in two parts; a female-oriented header which attaches to the board and a male-oriented post which attaches to the edge of the board. The contact areas or pins are arranged in two rows on either side of the header and are mechanically held in place by a protective housing, designed to guard against mechanical stress and provide EMI shielding. The post is equipped with gold-plated contacts and features four connection points – two connection points for power and two for signal return. The male-oriented post is designed to enable the easy insertion of the header into the board, while the female-oriented header ensures a snug fit into the post and a reliable connection.The AXE612124 is designed for multiple uses in application, allowing for high-speed transmission, high density connection, and EMI shielding. It is compatible with ribbon-type cables such as 0.050” and 0.100” ribbon cables, as well as with IDCs with current ratings of up to 1 Amp.
