B1010SP0-EVB-2 is a RF Evaluation and Development Kit Board developed by Skyworks Solutions Inc, with extensive range of RF front-end solution. It is mainly used for the development of mobile Wi-Fi, ZigBee, and Bluetooth Low Energy devices.B1010SP0-EVB-2 is an evaluation platform that contains the industry’s first integrated front-end wireless solution comprising a Sky5 wireless front-end transceiver and antenna switch. It is based on the Sky5 platform and is designed to work with 5.0 GHz WiFi, Zigbee, and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) systems. B1010SP0-EVB-2 is an all inclusive evaluation, development and reference solution for 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, Bluetooth Low Energy, and 802.15.4 Zigbee wireless applications developers.The B1010SP0-EVB-2 board features Skyworks highly integrated and miniature Sky5 transceiver featuring an additional 32 GPIO ports. This allows great flexibility in the configuration and customisation of a wide range of wireless applications. The embedded 32 GPIO ports in the Sky5 transceiver provide the user with wide range of features such as hardware based resistive-divider for host system gain control and input-output configuration for low-power standby mode.The board also incorporates Skyworks Innovate digital LNA for front-end gain and noise performance control. This allows the user to obtain optimal gain and noise figure at different signal levels and frequencies. It also provides improved signal to noise ratio for fixed gain applications. In addition, the board includes a thermistor-based DC circuitry with on board NVStore memory providing temperature compensation for consistent gain and noise performance over temperature.The board contains a 32-bit waveform processor, which enables control of the Sky5 transceiver and a high speed digital signal processing to dynamically set the front-end performance when multiple operating parameters and environment conditions are encountered. In addition, the 32-bit processor provides an application programming interface (API) for Sky5 based applications.The Board also has integrated ICs for LED control and a USB 2.0 interface that allows for easy connection to external computing devices. The board also allows for over the air download of firmware images, allowing forfieldsoftware updates.The B1010SP0-EVB-2 is a comprehensive evaluation/development platform for users requiring the highest performance from Skyworks Sky5 transceivers and RF front-end solutions for their wireless applications.
