The SAW filter operates in the frequency range of 700 to 2200 MHz, offers very low insertion loss with excellent selectivity, and is ideal for use in cellular base station applications. It has a very small footprint and is highly integrated making it ideal for applications where space is at a premium.The B39321R1902A310 employs a multi-layer piezoelectric substrate with an overlying metalization pattern. Electrical signals are carried through the metalization pattern which generates an acoustic wave on the surface of the piezoelectric substrate. Due to the metalization pattern, the acoustic wave can reflect, refract, or diffract such waves can only propagate in a specific direction with specified input or output impedances. The various acoustic wave components of the electric signal all propagate at slightly different velocity, hence allowing the design of a SAW filter which is capable of operating over a wider frequency range. The B39321R1902A310 SAW filter has a very low insertion loss, usually less than 2 dB. It also provides very high levels of rejection and stability - meaning the filter will remain constant, even under variable environmental conditions.
