Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) filters are electronic filters that are relying on acoustic waves travelling on the surface of a piezoelectric substrate. The B39921B3588U410, a miniature SAW filter, is specifically designed for applications where small size and high rejection for spurious signals are essential.

The filter consists of one or two substrate layers of high stable ceramic material, typically AT-cut quartz. On the upper layer of the SAW Filter, a pattern of interdigital transducers is etched in order to launch and detect the acoustic wave.
