This type of thermistor is composed of a metal oxide material, which is sensitive to the temperature change. Therefore, when the temperature of the thermistor increases, its resistance decreases, and when the temperature decreases, its resistance increases.The thermistor can be connected to a voltage source and used as a resistive temperature detector (RTD).
