BACC63CT11D4PCH application field and working principleBACC63CT11D4PCH is a type of arcing contactor made by Siemens. The device is often applied in motor control systems, making it possible for electrical motors to perform multiple operations and to conduct stop and star actions. It is particularly resistant to ambient temperatures, extended temperature cycles, humidity and vibration; hence, making it suitable for industrial environments.The BACC63CT11D4PCH contactor is composed of three major parts, all combined into one package. Those parts are a starter coil, an arc suppressor and a main contactor. The starter coil is energised when it receives electrical charge. This will then move the arc suppressor and the main contactor in proper contact. When the main contactor is in contact with the arc suppressor, the arc suppressor will cancel out any sparking that could be caused by the opening or closing of the main contactor. As a result, the device stays in contact without the risk of sparks and eventual explosions risk.The BACC63CT11D4PCH contactor also allows regulating the opening and closing force by means of its adjustable rotors. The rotors allow for the contactor to open at a specific torque. This feature allows for different types of applications, making it perfect for adjustable speed commands.Moreover, the device is equipped with its own detection system, known as inductive sensing. This system relies on the principle of Hall effect, based on the application of a magnetic field and the consequent detection of its variations. Inductive sensing applies a magnetic field by means of proximity sensors, so as to detect opening or closing movements. The output signal generated by inductive sensing is utilized for the identification of the state of the contactor.The BACC63CT11D4PCH contactor is a great tool for applications involving startups, such as for operating valves, controlling compressors or adjusting electrical speeds.
