A BAT54ATR is a type of diode array. It is composed of two separate "antiparallel" diodes, connected at their anodes, which are linked with cathodes in a common junction. The Standard BAT54ATR has the following mechanical dimensions: lead length 3.2 mm, lead width 1.5mm, height 5.1 mm, and body width 1.5 mm. Two single diodocouplings are beneficial for minimal electric emission at room temperature, current-carrying capability, switching efficiency, and noise tolerance. As a result it can be easily used in many applications.

The BAT54ATR is most commonly used in applications that require an array of Schottky barrier diodes. It is often used as a replacement for other, less efficient Schottky barrier diodes. Because of their high efficiency and switching ability, they are also suitable for use in applications requiring the switching of higher currents.

The working principle of the BAT54ATR is based on a "reverse biased" diode array. By applying a voltage higher than the forward voltage in the forward direction, the current that flows is limited to a specific level and not only does this limit the current through the device, it also allows for a decrease in the voltage division across the device. The same principles apply if the current is reversed, meaning that the same current flows in reverse. This allows for a low voltage drop across the device when compared with single component diodes.

The BAT54ATR can be used in a wide range of applications, including full bridge circuits, switching diodes, TVS protection diodes, MOSFET driver protection diodes, and low current Schottky diode configurations. It is most often used as a substitute for small signal Schottky diodes.
