Working Principle
BD3533EKN-E2 device is designed to convert input voltage within the operating range to a stabilized output voltage as specified. This voltage conversion is done using a Buck-Boost operation which could be switched between Buck and Boost (step-up/step-down) mode using an external signal. The device uses a voltage loop feedback network to constantly monitor the output voltage against the reference voltage. If the output voltage deviates from its set level, the feedback signal triggers appropriate action from the control circuitry within the device. This in turn adjusts the duty cycle of the control switch to maintain the desired output voltage.
The device also features an internal circuit to reduce the power losses caused by output voltage discharge due to output capacitance. It also has an input undervoltage protection circuit which prevents the input voltage from dropping below the specified lower limit.
BD3533EKN-E2 also features an internal current limit protection circuit which prevents the output voltage from exceeding its maximum load current rating. It also includes a thermal shutdown protection circuit which switches off the device if its internal temperature exceeds a certain threshold.
