Working Principle

The BD7789RFS-E2 uses field-oriented control (FOC) to ensure precise, efficient, and smooth control of an AC motor. The FOC used by the BD7789RFS-E2 is based on the vector control method, which uses a rotating coordinate system for controlling the AC motor’s speed and torque. A two-axis system is used to control the AC motor’s rotation direction, speed, and torque. The first axis is the torque axis, which is aligned to the motor’s stator flux vector. The second axis is the flux vector, which is aligned to the motor’s rotor flux vector. By adjusting both the direction and magnitude of the stator flux vector, it is possible to control the torque and speed of the AC motor.
