BG3023SQ fuseholders are designed to be used with 1/4” x 1-1/4” ceramic fuses in a variety of applications. They feature an easy to access mounting clip providing secure mounting, and a dependable current limiting feature. These fuseholders are UL/CSA recognized and offer a temperature rating of 125°C.

Applications for BG3023SQ Fuseholders include protection of equipment used in motors, electrical heaters and other high-current applications. They also provide safety protection from over-current conditions on circuits up to 30A.

BG3023SQ fuseholders feature a ceramic body designed to quickly fuse in the event of an overcurrent condition. When an excessive current flows through the device, the contact springs heat up and allow current to be transferred to the thermal cut-off core. As a result, a pre-set high-temperature condition is reached and a rapid current surge causes the material to melt and fuse the device.

Once the fuse opens up and the temperature drops, the contact wires cool down and a metal film is deposited on the fuseholder body. This helps reduce the chances of the fuseholder opening again due to high temperatures. The total current rating of the BG3023SQ fuseholders lies between 1 to 30A, depending on the particular application.
