The resonance frequency of the specimen is measured from the response waist of the vibration and the hardness value is then determined. This unique format of hardness testing obtains an increased accuracy in comparison with other Hardness devices like HV/150 machine. The hardness results of BK/5-HHA are obtained in two ways, i.e. total displacement and relative displacement. The total displacement of the vibrating system helps to measure the hardness for large specimens.
