BK8/GMC-4-R Fuses

Fuses, such as BK8/GMC-4-R, are intended to prevent fires caused by an overloaded circuit. They are generally made of a metal alloy that melts when too much current passes through it. BK8/GMC-4-R Fuses feature an insertion temperature of 60°C and an operation temperature range of -40°C to 105°C. This wide operational temperature range allows them to be used in a number of applications, such as motor overload and line protection circuits. The design of the BK8/GMC-4-R fuses follows the principle of a thermal-magnetic curve, which combines the operation of both a fuse and a thermal magnetic breaker. The thermal component of a BK8/GMC-4-R fuse operates on the same principle as a standard fuse; when the current exceeds a certain value, the fuse melts, breaking the circuit and preventing fire.
