BP5029 is a highly integrated step-down DC-DC switching converter with an integrated high-side power MOSFET. It is designed to provide up to 6 A at voltages as low as 0.8 V as a typical application. The BP5029 includes an integrated voltage regulator of a fixed 8V which is ideal for powering point of load converters, or any other application requiring an efficient, low dropout and low cost solution. BP5029 offers an input voltage range from 4.5V to 24V, and a maximum output current of 6A. It is optimized for the highest power requirements such as active clocking, CPU core, regulation of large GPUs and FPGA.

In addition to its high output current and low dropout voltage, the BP5029 also provides excellent transient response capabilities due to its integrated high-side power MOSFET. The core of the BP5029 switching converter is controlled by a PWM controller which is designed to provide an optimal union of fast loop response and efficienc. This is made possible by an adaptive gate driving feature which adjusts the current for load transients and supports 40ns to 1000ns switching transition times. Furthermore, the integrated PWM controller allows the interface to be very easy, reducing the design complexity and time.

The BP5029 also features a unique synchronized output mode, which can be used to reduce the output ripple. When synchronized, the output ripple is reduced by 2-3 times. This feature can be used to optimize the power system design and reduce cost.
