BQ24314CEVM is a 3-phase non-isolated buck synchronous rectifier with integrated switch. This board provides a rapid development environment for 3-phase non-isolated buck synchronous rectifiers. This evaluation board is suitable for testing and evaluating various inductors, capacitors and semiconductors used in 3-phase buck synchronous rectifier circuits, such as high-power LED control, DC/DC converter, solar chargers, etc.The BQ24314CEVM application field involves many aspects, such as controlling the maximum output current, managing fault and overcurrent detection, input overvoltage protection and adaptive ON-time control. It is suitable for many 3-phase buck synchronous rectifier applications, including high power LED lighting, charging systems, DC-DC converters and solar charging systems. This evaluation board further simplifies evaluation and design work of application circuits by providing a benchmark that integrates all possible options available in the BQ24314CEVM. Furthermore, it helps to make power contracts less complex, reduce circuit complexity, reduce space and improve overall performance.The 3-phase buck synchronous rectifier application board is provided on an 8-layer PCB that contains a 3-phase non-isolated buck synchronous rectifier with integrated switch. The board supports both 6-pack and 12-pack packages. It is compatible with most of the 3-phase non-isolated buck synchronous rectifier control ICs available in the market. It also supports the 3-phase buck synchronous rectifier GateDriver ICs, such as the BQ24315 for switching applications. The BQ24314CEVM evaluation board also provides several performance related parameters, offering an ideal environment for design engineers to evaluate and understand the application circuit.The working principle of the BQ24314CEVM application field is quite simple. It is based on the frequency-driven hysteretic buck control technique with integrated switch. In order to achieve 3-phase non-isolated buck synchronous rectification, BQ24314CEVM requires two or more pulse-width modulation (PWM) signals to drive the 6 or 12-pack\'s high-side and low-side switches. By integrating the function of a power MOSFET and its driver with the BQ24314CEVM, the integrated switch allows a pulse-width modulation input (PWMI) signal to control the high-side and low-side switching.The BQ24314CEVM provides an adjustable overcurrent protection circuit for controlling the maximum output current, an adaptive ON-time control to reduce component stress and then improve the overall performance of the 3-phase buck synchronous rectifier. It further protects the system from input overvoltages, offers fast and tight fault detection and provides a programmable preset that is used to set the output voltage. Additionally, the BQ24314CEVM provides thermal protection to safeguard the onboard components from risks of being over-temperatured. It monitors the die temperature of the BQ24314CEVM through the NTC terminal and consequently trigger output shutdown for higher levels of temperature.The 3-phase buck synchronous rectifier application board can help system integrators to design, optimize, modify and troubleshoot 3-phase non-isolated buck synchronous rectifier based applications easily.
