The battery gauge IC is the main component that performs the battery management functions, such as monitoring battery voltage, current, and temperature and providing accurate status information such as State of Charge (SoC), real-time voltage, current and temperature values. The other components are the ADC converter, which is used to convert analog signals into digital signals and the ADC control logic that manages the conversion process.

The BQ26501PW performs its battery management functions by calculating the battery pack\'s SoC based on the instantaneous battery voltage, current and temperature information.
