The BatteryFuel Gauge also provides self-diagnostics features and is capable of detecting voltages outside the intended operating range, as well as abnormally high temperature events.The BatteryGuardian Protector constantly monitors for cell-voltage, cell-temperature, and charge current abnormalities. If an abnormality is detected, the BatteryGuardian Protector immediately shuts off the current path in order to protect the battery-pack.
