The Texas Instruments BQ27500DRZT, is a highly integrated single-cell Li-Ion (Lithium-Ion) battery gas gauge IC which is designed to effectively monitor and manage the battery performance and ensure its reliability and safety.
The BQ27500DRZT consists of an ultra-low power microcontroller, two high precision current and voltage sensing circuits, temperature sensing circuit, three programmable preconditioning gates, quantized charge counters and temperature compensation structures. Application of BQ27500DRZT

Working Principle of BQ27500DRZT
The working principle of the BQ27500DRZT is based on the piezoresistive effect of the core circuit. The core uses a semiconductor wafer etched with a pattern of holes which allows it to sense current and voltage. The holes in the semiconductor respond differently to different levels of current and voltage and the output of the core is then used to measure the internal state of the battery.
