The BQ77PL157APW-4225 operates in two primary modes: Standby and Active. In Standby mode, the device is mainly responsible for monitoring the battery, controlling the charge/discharge cycles and providing safe operating conditions. The device is constantly checking the voltage level of the battery, and limits current and temperature to ensure safe operation.
