The three-phase motor control optimizer block is responsible for controlling the gate drivers for the power switches, drivers, and loads and also provides a high dynamic range control input from the system control logic. The power switches block contains six N-channel MOSFETs which are used for the on/off switching of the power. The drivers block houses three low-side gate drivers for the N-channel MOSFETs, two high-side gate drivers for the two P-channel MOSFETs, and a monitoring circuit which is used to detects overvoltage, overcurrent, and over temperature conditions. The load drivers block contains two drive FETs, two gate driver FETs, a diode, and a sense resistor which act as protection measures in case of an overload condition.In order to control the switching of the power sources and loads, the BTS52362GSXUMA1 requires a pulse width modulated (PWM) signal, which can be supplied by the system control logic. Additionally, the system control logic may also supply a signal to the monitoring circuit which can be used to set the overvoltage, overcurrent, and temperature protection thresholds.
