<p>PMIC - Motor Drivers, Controllers is an advanced technology applied for the operation of electric motors and provides optimal control features for a wide range of applications. The device takes advantage of its single-chip construction in order to offer various output control modes, such as constant-current, constant-speed, or torque-control and it also provides an "automatic frequency" feature which can be adjusted by the user in order to suit the motor’s operating frequency.</p><p>The device contains a 3-channel on-chip high-side driver, which is developed in order to drive four motor phases simultaneously and providing high-speed switching and good current dynamic performance. The BU24025MWV-E2 contains a programmable high-side current detection circuit which is developed in order to detect the output current from each high-side driver. The current detection system can be programmed to detect any changes in the current level, which enables the system to constantly monitor the current flow and provides feedback about any abnormalities.</p><p>The BU24025MWV-E2 also has two analog-input channels, which are designed to allow direct control of motor speed and torque. The analog-inputs can be connected to a wide variety of external sources, such as switches or an external control system. The devices provide built-in soft-start and braking features which prevents over-voltage or over-current from occurring during the start-up and shutdown of the motor. The soft-start and braking features can be programmed to suit the requirement.</p><p>The BU24025MWV-E2 is suited for applications in harsh environments and can withstand a wide range of temperature, humidity, and shock and vibration. The device offers protection against transient over-voltage and reverse-polarity surges and also provides protection against overheating.
