Working Principle

The actuator and contact assembly are hinged together so that when the basic spring force exceeds a designed limit, the contact assembly will snap shut, accurate to within 0.5mm. This snap force is adjusted by the adjustment of the basic spring constant. The snap also occurs when the actuator is released, closing the contact. This makes it suitable for use in a wide range of applications that require limit detection, physical detection and signal generation.
