BZX85C3V3 Application Field and Working Principle

Working Principle
The BZX85C3V3 relies on the diode effect. This effect is based on the fact that the current through a diode is exponentially dependent on the voltage applied to the diode. As the voltage across the diode increases, the current passing through it will increase at an exponential rate. When the voltage across the diode reaches the breakdown voltage, the current through the diode will suddenly increase dramatically. The BZX85C3V3 is designed to have an operational voltage of +/- 3V and a maximum reverse breakdown voltage of +/- 8.5V.
