Multiple Conductor Cables, C1363.46.02 application field and working principle
C1363.46.02 is a series of multiple conductor cables (MCCs). MCCs generally comprise of two or more insulated conductors, which are installed in either a common sheath or with a predetermined minimum spacing between them. The use of MCCs is advantageous mainly due to its ability to run several circuits in one cable without the need for additional splitting and re-joints. This facilitates cutting, splicing, and tapping of lines, enabling shorter cable laying lengths and faster installation times.
MCCs can be found in a wide range of industrial and commercial applications including automotive, consumer electronics, aerospace, water and wastewater treatment, fluorescent lighting, household appliances, motors, reverse osmosis, and photovoltaic systems. Different kinds of MCCs are traditionally used in both AC (alternating current) and DC (direct current) circuits.
