Working principle:

C22G6I fuses are equipped with a patented thermal element that is immersed into a liquid compound-filled cartridge. This thermal element is a closed-loop-shaped strip of metal that heats up when current flows through it that breaks the loop in order to interrupt the circuit. The two main advantages of this design are fast blow speed and clearing time, which allows the fuse to effectively protect the circuit in the event of an overload or short circuit.

The fuse contains a melting alloy that acts as the fuse element. When an overload or short circuit occurs, the melting alloy melts and disconnects the electrical circuit preventing further damage to the system. The C22G6I fuse acts as a safety switch by opening the circuit in the event of an overload or short circuit.
