A current-to-amplitude-and-phase (C2A1P) application field is an important technology used within electrical engineering. To accurately measure both the phase and power, two sensors are used to detect whether or not the power is being delivered to the correct phase. This stage is designed to act as a final backstop, checking to see if the current has exceeded the maximum safe limit. If it has, then the circuit breaker will open and either activate a fail-safe shutdown of the power supply, or lock off the power supply until repairs can be made.For extra protection, some C2A1P circuit breaker systems will also include a temperature monitoring system.
