C52S application field and working principle

Thyristors, commonly referred to as Silicon Controlled Rectifier (SCR) or gate turn-off thyristor (GTO) are semiconductor electronic devices which apply the three-layer or four-layer systems of positive and negative charges semiconductor layers to provide a combination of switching and voltage regulation. Among the thyristors, the C52S, developed by Littelfuse, is an advanced four-layer thyristor, which is widely used for various applications.
