Working Principle of CDV30EF300GO3

The CDV30EF300GO3 mica and PTFE capacitors are constructed using precisely-separate metallized film and a mica substrate. The capacitor feature two metal layers connected by electrodes and an insulation layer of mica with a thin layer of PTFE coating. This is how the mica and PTFE capacitor works to store energy.

The metallized film consists of a very thin metallic sheet with exposed conducting surfaces. The electrodes provide conductive paths between the metallic sheet and the insulating layer of mica substrate. The mica substrate and PTFE coating form a dielectric barrier and the thin layer of PTFE helps increase the insulation properties of the insulation layer.
