In terms of working principle, CG8188AAT employs a dual-in-line memory module (DIMM) that stores code and data in 4-bit words. The completion of data read-write operations is achieved through the address, command, and data bus. We can distinguish each module by its unique address. In terms of its features, CG8188AAT is an 8-bit deeply pipelined register-address space access technique, which can efficiently achieve 26K input/output registers, ultra-low energy dissipation and high operating frequency. And the operating temperature range is from 0 to 95 degrees Celsius. It adopts variable slot type design, which supports RDIMM, LRDIMM, UDIMM, RS3 and RDIMM, LR-DIMM, UDIMM, RS3-T. Moreover, in order to ensure the data transfer rate and integrity, all DDR3 signals were added ESD protection, so that the edge level increasing from 0.5V to 3.3V. Thanks to this, it can protect the data from external electrical disturbances. In addition, in order to meet the different application requirements for safety and stability, CG8188AAT also equips with ECC and CRC functions, so that it could detect and correct single-bit errors which could happen when transferring data.

It supports dual-channel and four-channel architecture, including multi-channel modules, with a maximum of 16 layers 8M×64 and a maximum of eight layers 8M×72 at 1.5V.
