CGM-W is a real-time non-destructive testing technology for the internal structure and composition of metals. It is developed by China National Nuclear Corporation, and it has been widely applied in the fields of military and civil nuclear engineering, aerospace, automotive, and machinery manufacturing. CGM-W works by using ultrasonic pulses from a transducer to measure the size, shape and other characteristics of internal features of an metal object. It then uses the measured data to digitally reconstruct the 3-dimensional internal structure of the object and to detect defects inside it. This technology is used to detect structural defects and flaws in steel that cannot be detected using traditional reading methods.

The working principle of CGM-W technology is based on the pulse-echo method. A high-energy ultrasonic pulse is generated through an ultrasonic transducer. This pulse penetrates the object and reflects from the internal features, producing a signal back at the transducer. By measuring the time delay between the generation of the pulse and the return of the signal, the size, shape and other characteristics of the internal features can be determined. This data is then used to generate a 3 dimensional model of the object\'s internal structure and to detect any defects or flaws.

CGM-W can detect flaws and defects in steel that cannot be detected using traditional methods. It is widely used in the fields of military and civil nuclear engineering, aerospace, automotive, and machinery manufacturing to detect changes in material properties, such as fatigue and stress cracks. CGM-W can also be used to detect corrosion, porosity, and other flaws in steel components, making it an important tool for quality control. It is also used to detect flaws in non-metallic materials such as composites and ceramics.

CGM-W technology is an important tool for the inspection of steel components. The technology has the advantage of being non-destructive, meaning that objects can be inspected without destroying them. The fact that it can detect flaws and defects in materials that could not be detected using other methods makes it a valuable tool in the fields of military and civil nuclear engineering, aerospace, automotive, and machinery manufacturing.
