    The CM1301-7R is a member of the CM1300 family of DC-DC converters and is a record holder for power density. This eighth-brick sized product has been designed to meet the demanding and ever-changing needs of applications such as telecommunications, storage, servers and medical. This highly efficient converter is capable of operating on an input voltage range of 18-36V and is rated at up to 300W of continuous output power.

    However it offers much more than just power, it provides an environmental package of safety, operational and agency standards which make it suitable for the most demanding applications. In addition it offers an optional cooling tape, as well as excellent EMC/EMI performance.

    The CM1301-7R features a synchronous rectification technique which yields an efficiency of up to 93.5%, while supporting an output voltage range of 0.6V-7.2V. The wide output voltage range offers an advantage in system design for bandwidth sensitive applications such as storage and servers, allowing the output voltage to be adjusted to optimize power consumption.

    The CM1301-7R consists of a primary control IC, an optional auxiliary winding and a high-side MOSFET. The primary control IC is responsible for power conversion and regulation, while the high-side MOSFET rectifies the AC current from the main transformer winding. The primary control IC is controlled by an external PWM signal to modulate the duty cycle of in the primary circuit in order to regulate the output voltage.

    The CM1301-7R offers a wide input voltage range, which allows the converter to be used in a variety of application markets including industrial, medical, defense, and automotive. In addition, the converter is designed to meet safety standards such as IEC/UL 60950, EN/IEC6123-2/3, and meets EN 55024 EMC requirements.

    The CM1301-7R has an on-board fanspeed control, which allows the fan speed to be adjusted to the system performance requirement. The adjustable fan speed can provide lower acoustic noise levels to improve the system\'s acoustics, and also helps reduce the overall power consumption of the system.
