Application Field

The CMD4D11NP-6R8MC is a chip inductor, used to create an inductance of 6.8µH with a ±5% tolerance over a range of frequencies, up to 1.2GHz.

Working Principle

Inductors work on the principle of magnetic fields. When a current flows through an inductor, a magnetic field is generated, and this field interacts with the current and the inductor coil, creating a voltage. The resistor in the inductor limits the current in the coil, allowing the inductor to regulate the voltage generated by the current. This regulation of voltage depends on the inductance of the inductor.

The CMD4D11NP-6R8MC chip inductor is designed to provide fairly consistent inductance values over a range of frequencies.
