Working Principle

The CME0303S3C is designed so that it can convert an input voltage of up to 35VDC to a regulated output voltage without any additional external components. This is achieved using a dc-dc switching regulator circuit, which is controlled by an integrated PWM controller. The PWM controller operates the switch in the dc-dc converter circuit, allowing for the efficient conversion of energy from the input voltage to the output voltage.

The PWM controller works by measuring the load voltage, then comparing it against the reference voltage. Depending on the difference between the two, the PWM controller adjusts either the on-time or off-time of the switch operation accordingly, ensuring that the output is always regulated and that the efficiency of the converter is maximized.

The CME0303S3C also provides short-circuit protection, which ensures that the converter is protected from overload conditions. It also offers a soft start feature, which helps reduce in-rush currents and output voltage disturbances.
