CMF01 (TE12L,Q,M) is one type of single rectifier diodes. It is a rectifier with low voltage and medium speed, both low loss and low noise characteristics, and often used in power supplies, lamp drivers, and output rectifiers in general purpose AC/DC power converter applications. It is specially designed with use to medium power applications requiring low recovery time.

The CMF01 (TE12L,Q,M) diodes have a main body with four terminals (TO-3P) packages and five additional bonds for lead connection. The combination of T and M terminals are used for multiple-bar diodes. Its peak load current at a breakdown voltage of 175V for TO-220Ab is about 15A, and for TO-220F and T02-3P it is about 3A and 20A respectively.

The working principle of the CMF01 (TE12L,Q,M) diodes is the same as any other type of rectifier. It is based on the fact that an electric current can only flow in one direction through a diode. Thus, in order to change AC (alternating current) to DC (direct current), the diode is used to “block” the negative portion of the AC waveform, allowing only the positive portion to continue on. The diode is, in effect, acting as a check valve, allowing the current to flow in only one direction.

The CMF01 (TE12L,Q,M) diodes have their main application in power supplies.
