CMUHF8X Application Field and Working Principle
Coaxial connectors (RF) refer to connectors that transmit radio frequency (RF) signals and are used to join sections of coaxial cables in order to form an electrical circuit. Additionally, a secure 360-degree rotatable lock nut is utilized to ensure against loosening during prolonged vibrations. This interference-proof locking system also helps to prevent water, dust, and other contaminants from entering the connector to reduce radio interference.
The CMUHF8X employs a simple two-piece construction consisting of a female body and a threaded male far end. The female body is composed of an aluminum die-cast shell, a Faraday shield, a dielectric, and a crimp pin. The body is designed for enhanced shielding to maintain low system noise. The threads of the male correspondent are rolled to a constant pitch along for uniform contact and tight connection, ensuring electrical connectivity.
When assembling the CMUHF8X, the male and female ends are both prepared by stripping the outer jacket off the coaxial cable. The coaxial cable is then secured to the connector body using either solder or crimp technique, depending on preference. To ensure the best connection possible, the exposed braid needs to be bent firmly around the cable. Finally, the male threads are easily threaded onto the female body until the locking nut is securely engaged.
The CMUHF8X series of coaxial connectors are primarily used in commercial and industrial applications where high-frequency RF signals are processed.
