The CPAD851 series from Amphenol RF are a type of coaxial adapter designed to interface between two differently-sized coaxial connectors. Commonly used in military, aerospace, and satcom communication applications, these adapters are designed to withstand the extreme environmental conditions typically specified for such applications, with operating temperatures ranging from -55°C up to +140°C.

This will ensure excellent electrical performance, VSWR and PIM ratings while also protecting the adapter from intense moisture and environmental distress.

Like other adapters in the CPAD series from Amphenol RF, the CPAD851 includes a number of features which make them well suited for military, aerospace and satcom applications. These include an optimized beam pattern for applications with highly directional antennas, a dielectric strength of 500 volts, a maximum frequency rating of 40 GHz and an impedance of 50 ohms.

The CPAD851 adapter is available in a variety of sizes, allowing the user to connect any two different, similarly-rated connectors. The different sizes are rated for either MIL-C-5015 or MIL-C-39012 connectors, with adapters ranging from a Type G series (with threads) up to a Type 7/16 DIN series. These adapters are constructed from non-magnetic brass or plated brass, with an external finish of alloy aluminum or zinc.
