The CS48L10-ENZR is a digital signal processor (DSP) from On Semiconductor. This processor is suitable for applications such as automotive audio and general-purpose sound systems. It supports a variety of audio codecs including G.722, G.726 and G.711, as well as digital signal processing (DSP) features such as digital signal processing (DSP), FIR filters, IIR filters, adaptive noise suppression and other signal processing functions. The processor also supports an extended temperature range and is optimized for ultra-low-power operation.
The processor is capable of sampling frequency up to 96 kHz, data rate up to 15 MHz and signal resolution up to 24-bit. It features a powerful operational amplifier with a slew rate of 0.5 V/µs and a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 80 dB. The processor can be configured to work with various peripherals such as audio output interfaces and interface with NXP® ARM Cortex®-M4 (LPC4353F) microcontroller. The processor acts as a co-processor for a NXP ARM microcontroller and provides a bridge between the analog and digital electronics, performing a variety of signal processing functions.
The basic working principle of a DSP processor is based on the multiplication of inputs with coefficients and the summation of all the products. This is followed by the computation of the output by performing successive calculations on the resulting samples.
