The CS51411GDR8 is an automotive grade, 8mm x 8mm x 0.75mm Lead-Free, fixed frequency, synchronous, step-down switching regulator with integrated MOSFETs. It is primarily used in a wide range of applications that demand advanced, efficient and reliable power solutions, such as automotive active electronic systems, ADAS, advanced driver assisting systems and more. Working Principle
The CS51411GDR8 is an advanced, synchronous step-down DC-to-DC switching regulator. Its circuit operates by controlling the conduction of a switch, generally referred to as a MOSFET in a buck configuration. The top MOSFET (Q1) is referred to as the high-side switch, and the bottom MOSFET (Q2) is referred to as the low-side switch. When the MOSFET turns on, energy is stored in the inductor. The stored energy is then transferred by the low-side switch to the output capacitor and pass to the load. When the current through the inductor rises, the voltage across it is the switching duty cycle multiplied by the converter input voltage. When the current decays, the voltage across the inductor is the same as the output voltage. This process is reversed when the converter changes from the discharge to the charge mode.

1. Low Quiescent Current Mode: The controller offers an optional low quiescent current (LQC) mode and low voltage operation.
