The CSP2510CPG8 is a highly versatile high-frequency clock generator designed to provide various output clock frequencies. It is ideal for applications where low power consumption and high precision synchronization are needed in the clock designs. The characteristics of the CSP2510CPG8 make it suitable for timing applications, such as communications and navigation, as well as for seeing applications like video and image processing.The CSP2510CPG8 is a fully integrated all-silicon dual-output, low-power clock generator, with a power efficiency rating of 99.9%. It includes an integrated reference crystal oscillator, which provides a high level of precision synchronization between two closely spaced outputs. The CSP2510CPG8 supports two outputs, with each output having its own dedicated clock capacitor and low-power PLL (phase-locked loop) circuitry. The outputs both achieve excellent phase noise performance and a wide range of output configurations.The CSP2510CPG8 is based on a simple design concept, with a wide range of features that make it ideal for clock management applications. It takes in a stable clock signal with a frequency range of 8MHz to 400MHz, and then generates a crystal reference clock of 32KHz to 200MHz, providing users with a wide range of output selection. The CSP2510CPG8 offers a choice of 5 different output types: standard, dual, single-ended, differential, and low-frequency. The dual and low frequency types allow users to program the frequency range with maximum flexibility.The CSP2510CPG8 integrates an innovative PWM (pulse-width modulation) clock generator combiner which can combine up to 4 synchronous output frequencies. This greatly improves the level of accuracy for each of the output frequencies. The PWM clock generator is also optimized for low power consumption, allowing for greater battery life for the devices that utilize it.The CSP2510CPG8 is ideally suited for applications requiring highly accurate synchronization, such as communications and navigation devices. It is also well-suited for applications that require a much lower power consumption and a lower phase noise performance.The CSP2510CPG8’s working principle is based on an oscillator generator. The oscillator generator takes an incoming signal, such as a stable clock signal with a frequency range of 8MHz to 400MHz, and produces a crystal reference clock with a frequency range of 32kHz to 200MHz. This reference clock is then combined with a PLL, in order to ensure accuracy of the output frequencies. The combined output is then fed into a multiplexer/demultiplexer, which allows users to select one of five different output types.The CSP2510CPG8 has proven to be an indispensable tool for clock management applications in products used in various industries.
