CY2291F is a low-cost, low-power, programmable frequency synthesizer. It is a monolithic CMOS integrating the functions of two separate but related oscillator control circuits, a low noise VCO and a Precision Oscillator. The CY2291F is available in a variety of package types, including a surface mount form factor- 28-pin SSOP (Small Outline Package).In terms of its application field, CY2291F is intended for clock and timing applications. It can be used to construct high-performance clock generators, PLLs (Phase Locked Loops) and frequency synthesizers. It can provide improved frequency accuracy and jitter performance, lower power consumption, better phase noise and more flexibility.In particular, the CY2291F features an extremely accurat e precision oscillator module. It has a resolution of 1 Hz and can be programmed to achieve frequency accuracy of better than 0.003%, depending on the specification of the crystal.
